New Design of Batur Volcano Museum


Museum is one part of education system to give  another way for student and society to learn about something in specific one.  Bali has a lot of Museum that spread entire the island like Blanco Museum at Ubud, Subak Museum at Tabanan Regency, Museum Kerang (shell) at Kuta, Bajdra Sandi Museum at Denpasar, but there is a museum that located near from Mount Batur as the other side of beauty of Bali. from Kintamani region, you can have lunch while enjoying  the stunning view of Mountain and Lake Batur. Not only that, you also can visit the Batur Volcano Museum to get more knowing about Mount  Batur closely.

Batur Volcano Museum located in Penelokan, mount Batur, Bali, Indonesia. Showcase much treasure and secret of the volcanic phenomena and the story of the Mount Batur eruption from age to age.  It is displays many varied incite the visitors to find out more about the volcano which is packed through panels, interactive games, computer simulations and film show. The museum is set on 10, 000 square meters and already in developing process with new design  using  1,09 hectares that will be  one of the most sophisticated Museum in Indonesia  as Batur Volcano Museum  area until today to make a lot of fun  and interactive learning for children and adults. I can judge this museum as one of the best museum in  Bali  to bring your family here  and spend your quality time with your family here. Relate the tourist park of Penelokan utilization that agreed by the stakeholder and the government  who related this project, finally  Batur Volcano Museum opened on Mei 10th 2007 as the only one Volcano Museum in Bali.

The Museum can run through Payanagan or from Denpasar through the Sangeh monkey forest, Plaga and Lampu, arriving to the north of Kintamani.  Another rute to Kintamani are available from Ubud through Sakah (the ‘Baby’ Statue near Ubud). they also can reached via Tampaksiring and Bangli. It just takes less than 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the Penelokan Area to enjoy  the Mountain and Lake Batur view and learn about Batur Volcano closely.
